Training and Education
Our people are the main reason for our success. To sustain our high corporate trajectory, we offer education and training programs which cultivate the most talented and well-prepared management teams to lead our clients' projects through from inception to completion. Directors and vice-presidents offer monthly seminars to convey emerging insights in their practice areas. Outside consultants provide one-on-one training on a customized basis. Rise also facilitates training, certification, licensure, and professional memberships.
Co-op Program
We engage engineering co-op students and foster their academic and professional development through customized rotations and support programs. The objective for the Program is to allow a student to gain a comprehensive understanding of project and program management through increasing levels of focus and responsibilities.

Since 1999, Mr. Preuhs has pioneered and evolved The Rise Group’s approach to Program Controls, and has overseen Controls services for over $6 billion in construction programs for clients including the Public Building Commission of Chicago, Chicago Housing Authority, the Illinois State Tollway Authority, O’Hare International Airport, and The University of Chicago. Mr. Preuhs’ personal expertise extends to airports, tollways and highways, railways and other infrastructure, and civic, medical and residential buildings. Mr. Preuhs has authored numerous white papers in the field of Program Controls. He has lectured at the School of Engineering at Northwestern University, and advises engineering co-op interns at Rise. Under Guenther’s direction, The Rise Group serves as a beta-test site for Program Controls software developers.
